Educational Qualification
- Students who are studying Class 5 from Government, Government-aided, Private School or NIOS during the academic session 2026-27.
- Must have completed Classes 3, 4, and 5 regularly.
- Candidates who have already passed or repeated Class 5 are not eligible.
Age Limit
- Candidates should be born between 01 May 2015 and 31 July 2017 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation will be provide as per government regulation.
Application Fee
- There is no application fee. Candidates can apply online free of cost.
Selection Process
- The selection of the students for NVS Class 6 admission will be based on Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
Exam Pattern
- The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) conducts the JNVST as an objective-type examination. The exam duration is 2 hours and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates receive 1.25 marks for each correct answer, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. We have share the exam pattern below:-
